This is some little help to inform you what you should take into account when it comes to creating your website and it is based on our BASIC WEBSITE PACKAGE although it can serve as reference for any kind of site.
01. Determine how many sections your website will have.
You can think of all the sections you consider essential for your business, or you can use the most common ones:
- Home (Homepage / Main page)
- About us
- Our Services (or Products)
- Catalog
- Contact us
02. Prepare the texts you would like to include in each section of your website.
Texts are important. The more text you include, the more possibilities you will have to inform your future clients in a better way and the more possibilities you will have to appear in the lists of the main search engines. We recommend including at least 200 words in your homepage.
Here is some help on what to include in your website:
- Homepage: a descriptive introduction of your website and your company/business.
- About us: it may have a little description of your company history, achievements, work philosophy, etc.
- Products and/or Services: a description of them
- Contact us: all the necessary data so that visitors can ask for more information, visit or contact your company.
03. Prepare photographs you would like to include:
- Photographs should reflect what you want to show.
- Send us the image of your logo. If still don't have one, you will have one 50% off when you hire us to design your website. This special discount is inluded in all our LOGO DESIGN PACKAGES.
- Keep balance between text quality and photographs quality.
- If you decide to include a video, it should be short (no more than 5 minutes long).
- Do NOT use photographs that belong to other websites, unless you have the written permission of the owner.
- If you don't have your own photographs, you should know that there are sites that offer them for free and without permission requirements.
04. Think about how you would like clients to contact you:
- E-mail, Contact Form or both
- Telephone, business address or both
- Yahoo Messenger, MSN Messenger, Skype
- All the abovementioned alternatives
05. Other suggestions:
- If you have printed material about your business, please send it to us, so that we can maintain balance between printings and website material.
- Remember that the content of a website must be delivered in digital format (Word, Excel, etc. or via email). If you don't have digital material, we can give an estimate of the extra charges you may have for that. Once again, we need all the material digitalized.
- If you have a lot of images or videos, the best thing to do is to record that material in a CD or DVD and send it to us via snail mail.
07. Ready!
Once you have organized all the content for your website, you can send it to us and we will star working on that.
